This is going to make a lot of muggles very happy.

After an initial teaser that didn’t reveal much beyond more of the same from author J.K. Rowling‘s Potterverse (and inspired little more than a shrug), this first full trailer for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them exceeds the first teaser’s safe guarantee. Set in 1920s New York City – about 70-some years prior to the events of the Harry Potter novels and movies – this promises to be more than warmed-over discards from Rowling’s books; it will expand all that we know about the Wizarding World.

Furthering the excitement, it’ll be refreshing to explore this world from the perspective of practicing adults rather than in-training kids. But, smartly, it appears we’ll do so without needlessly descending to the knee-jerk impulse of making the world “darker” or “edgier”.
