The less that Zack Snyder is involved with the DC Universe, the more it’s likely to succeed with audiences. Latest exhibit? The third trailer for Suicide Squad.

Continuing in the tone and spirit of the previous “Bohemian Rhapsody” Trailer #2, this one – titled “Blitz” (see below) – delivers more of what fans loved about the last one: humor, action, and attitude.

Based on we’ve seen so far, Suicide Squad (written and directed by David Ayer) appears to be everything fans want from the DC Universe: something closer to the sure-fire entertainment romp of your average Marvel movie, but edgier. And with more of Ben Affleck‘s Batman.

Suicide Squad opens later this summer on August 5th.
