Second MANK Trailer Shows Drama Of Early Hollywood (VIDEO/POSTER)

With more details than the first MANK teaser, this writing-of-CITIZEN KANE from David Fincher hits Netflix December 4, 2020.

If the first teaser teased, the second one reveals.

Mank, the latest film from director David Fincher (The Social Network, Gone Girl), is about Herman J. Mankiewicz, the man who wrote Citizen Kane (the 1941 Orson Welles Best Picture nominee that many consider to be the greatest film of all time).

Academy Award winner Gary Oldman stars as the alcoholic screenwriter who had to fight through the studio system, against media mogul William Randolph Hearst (whose life inspired Citizen Kane), and his own demons of addiction to help Welles bring this classic to the screen.

This new teaser (above), which debuted on Reddit, gives much more plot details about this biopic, a true life story that has been dramatically and stylistically heightened to serve as an homage to the film that would tower across movie history.

Produced by Netflix, Mank debuts in select theaters throughout November before streaming worldwide on December 4, 2020. (Check out the image gallery below, which includes a wonderfully designed throwback movie poster.)
