Disney Finally Teases New Songs From FROZEN II (VIDEOS)

Took ’em long enough.

The first two trailers for Frozen II (here and here) set up an intriguing new adventure but, rather conspicuously, neither had one note or lyric of the new songs. Today, Disney finally assuaged that suspense by releasing a new movie teaser featuring Elsa’s big “Let It Go”-style number “Into The Unknown” (watch above).

Along with it, “first listen” song clips of Anna’s “The Next Big Thing” and Olaf’s “When I Am Older” were also unveiled, plus a single 30-second snippet of “Into The Unknown” to go with them. (All videos featuring these song clips can be seen below.)

Each is exactly as you’d expect and probably hope for: Idina Menzel belts another showstopper for Elsa, Kristen Bell sings a tender ballad for Anna, and Josh Gad provides comic-song relief with Olaf. All songs have been written by the original blockbuster’s Oscar-winning (and married) team of Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

In addition, Disney released the track list of the soundtrack album (see below videos), which includes song covers by Kasey Musgrave, Weezer, and Panic! At The Disco.

Frozen II opens in theaters on November 22, 2019.
