Promoting an interview with writer/director J. J. Abrams, Empire Magazine has posted brand new images from the highly-anticipated saga finale Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Three of the pictures are simply new cover designs featuring Rey and Ren, the two core characters of the climactic trilogy. In addition, two more actual first-look screen shots reveal, in one, a profile of the mysterious Knights of Ren and, in the other, an intriguing action shot of Kylo Ren resisting a forceful blast of energy that knocks back a legion of stormtroopers.

One wonders if today’s photo drop is a precursor to one final upcoming trailer.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens on December 20, 2019.
