Fresh off its tease at the Las Vegas CinemaCon, here are the first images (below) of director Antoine Fuqua‘s The Magnificent Seven.

The remake of the classic western (which was itself a reworking of of Akira Kurosawa‘s legendary Seven Samurai) has an all-star cast, of course, led by Denzel Washington who’s taking over the Yul Brynner role – complete with sideburns that are more Blaxploitation than Western. Washington reteams with Fuqua for the third time; the duo first collaborated for Washington’s Oscar-winning role in 2001’s Training Day, and then again in 2014’s The Equalizer.

Other members of the seven are Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onfrio, and South Korean superstar Byung-hun Lee.

The Magnificent Seven will ride into theaters on September 23, 2016. (Click here to see the first teaser trailer.)
