Phase 4 is about to end. Long live Phase 5.

The first sneak peek at the newest, latest stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which comes after Phase 4 ends with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) is revealed in the form of the debut trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

For the third entry in this stand-alone Marvel movie series, the returning cast of characters — Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hope Van Dyne / The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), Dr. Hank and Janet Van Dyne (Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfieffer), and Cassie Lang (now played as a young adult by Kathryn Newton) — are all transported into the Quantum Realm, a secret universe beneath ours.

There, they encounter strange creatures before ultimately crossing paths with the MCU’s new post-Thanos baddie, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors, who debuted the character in the Marvel streaming series Loki). And as fate would have it, Kang may be our heroes only way back to the natural world.

Written by screenwriter Jeff Loveness (who’s also been hired for 2025’s upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty) and helmed by returning Ant-Man director Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will buzz into theaters exclusively on February 17, 2023.
