Dwayne Johnson Brings The Electricity In Final BLACK ADAM Trailer (VIDEO)

After several COVID-related delays, the latest DCEU movie BLACK ADAM is almost here. It opens October 21, 2022.

Black Adam. Bad Ass. Same diff.

That’s basically how DC is marketing its latest (anti)hero in the new — and likely last — trailer for Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson stars in what he has called a dream role, and this latest preview drops more details about the origins for the “sworn enemy of Shazam” (who doesn’t make an appearance here but, inevitably, will cross over at some point, maybe as soon as the end credits).

Along with further establishing the premise — i.e. that Black Adam has been resurrected from some millennia-long entombed sleep, following the unjust death of his son, and is on a mission of vengeance thereby making himself the most wanted man in the modern world — this new trailer also offers an unexpected if unnoticed-by-most update: the tweaked color tone.

After previous trailers, there were many complaints by fans that the color-grade of the movie was far too yellow. That excessive golden hue has been dialed way back here, which should please those who otherwise were excited for this latest addition to the DCEU.

Joining Johnson in the cast are Pierce Brosnon as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui as Amon, and Viola Davis reprising her Suicide Squad role of the evil military bureaucrat Waller.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (helmer of Johnson’s action-adventure Jungle Cruise), Black Adam opens in theaters on October 21, 2022.
