That’s what appears to be on the line in the latest trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the next big Marvel project following the gargantuan blockbuster success of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
And for an added kicker: this trailer tops the previous one by adding a delicious tease of the long-awaited entry of the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. None are seen here, but we hear the unmistakable voice of Patrick Stewart‘s Professor X Charles Xavier.
It’s gonna be one heckuva ride, spiced-up with quasi-horror genre flourishes familiar to the early indie works of director Sam Raimi, who also happened to helm the original Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy.
Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness kicks off the Summer Blockbuster season on May 6, 2022.
