More secrets were uncovered at the Comic-Con presentation for Terminator: Dark Fate.
Along with a new 90-second featurette (above; caution, strong language and violence), producer James Cameron officially announced a big surprise: actor Edward Furlong will reprise his role as John Connor in this latest chapter, which is serving as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day (ignoring all sequels and series since).
This will be Furlong’s first appearance as Connor since T2. He doesn’t appear in the featurette, and Cameron didn’t detail how big (or small) his role will be, but since it hadn’t even been rumored that Furlong would be in this new episode from director Tim Miller (Deadpool), the announcement was a major reveal.
Terminator: Dark Fate opens this fall on November 1, 2019.
