Vanity Fair Dishes Details & Pics In RISE OF SKYWALKER Cover Story (VIDEO/IMAGES)

The circle is now complete: Vanity Fair has published the first print scoop for a new Star Wars movie for the last and final time. (Well, for the Skywalker saga anyway).

Per tradition, the iconic style-and-culture magazine was given exclusive first look access (with its writers and favorite photographer Annie Leibovitz) to the on-set shoot for Episode IX, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, logging interviews with key talent and capturing lush visuals.

In the picture gallery below, you can see each photo — whether a character portrait or behind-the-scenes image — from the collection. And above, you can see their brief on-set video highlighting the experience.

To read the VF coverage, click herehere, here, and here (though you may need a subscription), or look for it on newsstands. But beware: I made one quick glance at one paragraph and instantly found out something that I’d rather not have known, so proceed WITH CAUTION depending on your sensitivity to SPOILERS.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens this holiday season on December 20, 2019.
