Tom Cruise is satisfying his need for speed once again.
Photos from the set of Top Gun: Maverick — the long-awaited sequel, now filming — have popped up online. It’s a series of snapshots with Cruise riding around as Maverick on a motorbike (Mav’s preferred land-bound wheels of choice).
These unofficial pics will have to tied us over for awhile. Originally slated for the Summer of 2019, Maverick‘s release has now been delayed until Summer 2020. We’ve waited this long, I guess, but twelve more months is still a huge bummer.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Cruise’s Oblivion, Only The Brave, Tron: Legacy) and co-starring Miles Teller as Goose’s son, Val Kilmer returning as Ice Man, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Manny Jacinto (NBC’s The Good Place), Thomasin McKenzie (this summer’s discovery in Leave No Trace), and Ed Harris, Top Gun: Maverick will set off fireworks when it opens on June 26, 2020.
