In what appears to be a Vietnam Era jungle excursion gone horrifically awry, the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island shows a King Kong reboot aiming for terrifying results.

The first large scale Hollywood production for indie director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer), this blockbuster monster movie stars recent Best Actress Academy Award winner Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly.

Kong: Skull Island opens next spring on March 10, 2017.
