Star Wars: The Force Awakens has set an all-new opening day box office record with $120.5 million generated on Friday, according to Saturday estimates. It becomes the first film to make over $100 million in a single day, annihilating the previous opening day record holder Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows: Part 2 which pulled in $91 million when it launched in 2011.

If sales trend as they currently are, The Force Awakens could haul in as much a $250 million in its opening weekend, shattering the previous record-holder Jurassic World, which took in $208.4 million this past June.
