The latest peak at the newest Matrix is more promo mumbo jumbo than nailing down more details beyond what we essentially know, but with a few new clips spliced into previously familiar ones, the “Déjà Vu” trailer for The Matrix Resurrections is still worth your time.
Furthermore, the final cryptic quote — “Maybe this isn’t the story you think it is.” — may be the most significant pre-release reveal of all.
We’ll see just how much this fourth installment will shake up the Matrix mythos when The Matrix Resurrections opens in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021.
