Batfleck is back. Will Affleck return, too?
In new images and video leaked from the Glasgow set of The Flash, the first non-Michael Keaton Batman photos have emerged — and they look exactly like the Ben Affleck Batman of the Snyderverse.
Given the actor’s recently publicized (and well-documented) romantic reunion with Jennifer Lopez in the U.S., it’s unlikely that the person in the Glasgow Batsuit is Affleck, but it certainly confirms that the DCEU multiverse will include that version of the character.
Whether his appearance will be limited to just fleeting glimpses (like, say, in an opening scene prior to The Flash starts traveling through the multiverse) in which a suited body double could suffice, or if the character will have a substantial presence that requires Affleck’s services, well, that remains to be seen.
For now, though, one thing is certain: we’ll have at least two Batmen in the upcoming Flash movie. Currently shooting, it opens next year on November 4, 2022.
