THAT THING YOU DO! Band Reunites For Live Zoom Moviecast (VIDEO/NEWS)

The one-hit Oneders are back. Tom Everett Scott, Steve Zahn, Johnathon Schaech, and Ethan Embry (the original cast band members from Tom Hanks‘ 1996 directorial debut) are reuniting for a That Thing You Do! watch party via a Live Zoom Moviecast on Friday, April 17, at 6:00 PM EST — and everyone’s invited!

In this 17-minute video interview with Rolling Stone (above), the quartet reminisces about the making of the film to promote the upcoming public Zoom-cast.

They also hint that a special guest will be joining them for the event (could it be Hanks? Liv Tyler? Charlize Theron??!), which is being held to honor the late Adam Schlesinger, the writer of the film’s title track who recently passed away at the age of 52 due to complications from COVID-19.

The quartet’s Zoom-cast will stream live on YouTube at the cost $3.99 (your average VOD rental price) with proceeds going to the charity MusiCares. To watch, click here on Friday, April 17 at 6:00 PM Eastern, 5:00 PM Central.

  1. This is awesome! I loved that movie though I haven’t seen it for a while. I still want to call them the one-EYE-ders though…
