She’s back, she’s glam, and she’s rockin’ the 80s.
The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 is finally here and it delivers on everything you’d hope a sequel to 2017’s breakthrough superhero movie would be. Gal Gadot is doing all the wonders she can do and Chris Pine is back, too, as his Steve Trevor returns in a full supporting role rather than just a cameo. How he’s back following the previous film’s finale remains unclear, but the size of his role isn’t. He will be key, both in the action and romance as well as the comedy.
Joining them — along with returning director Patty Jenkins — is The Mandalorian‘s Pedro Pascal as villain Max Lord and Kristen Wiig who plays Barbara Minerva, someone obsessed with Diana Prince that becomes a new enemy named Cheetah (although we don’t see her costumed just yet).
Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters this summer on June 5, 2020.
