Yikes.
Paramount just debuted the first trailer for their Sonic The Hedgehog movie, and it has possibly the worst character-animation I’ve ever seen in a modern-era studio blockbuster. The tone of the whole movie is strictly for kids, too. That’s fine, but it also has limited appeal.
At least Jim Carrey is channeling his prime 1990s era comic energy as the villain.
Starring the voice of Ben Schwartz (TV’s Parks & Recreation) plus a live-action cast including James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, and Adam Pally, Sonic The Hedgehog opens this fall on November 8, 2019.
