First, there was a teaser trailer that didn’t really give us any new footage. Then there were the first look photos that finally did. Now, Focus Features drops four new character posters to keep the Downton Abbey movie morsels coming for Anglophile obsessives of the franchise.
A couple from upstairs. A couple from downstairs. And a bonus poster with the full list of characters. Hopefully this means that an official trailer with actual film footage is soon to follow (with a priceless Dowager quote as a stinger).
Downton Abbey the movie — which picks up 18 months from where the series finale left off (at midnight of Jan. 1, 1926) — opens on September 13, 2019.
