After over forty years, the Skywalker Saga has finally been told. Now, the final chapter just needs to be put together.

Writer/Director J.J. Abrams tweeted this image from the final day of shooting for Star Wars: Episode IX, when production finally wrapped. The new trilogy trio — Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac — are seen wrapped, too, in an emotional embrace.

As the yet-to-be-titled final episode moves into post-production, there’s still no hint as to when we’ll see the first teaser, let alone a glimpse at first look production photos or, for that matter, even a title.

But we know when we’ll be able to see it. Star Wars: Episode IX — which will see the return of Mark Hamill, the late Carrie Fisher, and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian — opens on December 20, 2019.

It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all.
