It’s a whole new world for Aladdin as its live action Disney adaptation is currently being filmed. But this first one sheet teaser poster – dropped online by Will Smith via his Instagram account – does little to reveal what we’ll be in for when the film opens next summer.
It stars Smith as the big blue Genie (he captioned his post with “LEMME OUT!! 🧞 Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE! 🙂 #aladdin) and is directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, Snatch, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword).
Aladdin will spin its magic over Memorial Day weekend when it flies into theaters on May 24, 2019.
