That Dumbledore is all suave and whatnot.
Such is the unsurprising takeaway from the first trailer for the Harry Potter prequel sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Moving from 1920s New York to Paris (by way of a stop at Hogwarts), Eddie Redmayne‘s Newt Scamander is joined by Jude Law‘s young Dumbledore in the fight against that other legendary Dark Wizard baddie, Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp, somehow appropriately so).
Director David Yates returns (his sixth Potterverse film, in a row no less) with a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. They’re joined by the Where To Find Them ensemble including Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald opens worldwide on November 16, 2018.
