My review of Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool, for The Tulsa Voice. Annette Bening stars in this biopic of Hollywood starlet Gloria Grahame in her final years, and her romance with a young British man thirty years her junior.

“Captured in a luminous gloss, this provocative real-life story [follows] a fairly conventional path, swinging from passionate desire to volatile confrontations. But Annette Bening anchors the film by fully immersing herself in the fragile insecurities of this aging ingénue.”
