The latest annual offering from writer/director Woody Allen skews dramatic, and dark, in a tale of four lives that intertwine on Coney Island in the 1950s.
Wonder Wheel boasts a strong cast starring Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, and Jim Belushi, along with a mini Sopranos reunion of Tony Sirico and Steve Schirripa as mobsters.
Amazon Studios, who’s releasing the film, is making an Awards Season Oscar play with the nostalgic high stakes drama, and by the looks of this first trailer – with its lush visuals captured by legendary cinematographer Vittorio Storaro – it’s easy to see why.
Wonder Wheel opens in theaters on December 1, 2017.
