Dead men may tell no tales, but a picture’s worth a thousand words, right?

Glean what you can from this new batch of hi-res images released by Disney for this summer’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth film in the franchise. The highlight may be the young Jack Sparrow (aka Johnny Depp), yet another example of blockbusters taking advantage of the newly popular de-aging technology (seen widely on Robert Downey, Jr in Captain America: Civil War), but the focus is on Javier Bardem’s new villain Captain Salazar (both young and dead). He’s in 7 of the 14 images.

Directed by Norwegian filmmakers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, whose seafaring Kon-Tiki was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award in 2012, steer this Pirates semi-reboot. It opens for Memorial Day weekend on May 26, 2017.
