They’re finally putting Johnny Depp front and center. Previous teasers for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (the 5th film in the series) have focused on the villain played by Javier Bardem (and understandably, his whole vibe looks like dark comic fun) with only a glimpse of Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow. Now there’s an equal balance, including Geoffrey Rush as well, and despite being “meh” on the franchise as a whole I have to say that this one – billed as “The Final Adventure” – looks like it could be a lot of fun. Pirates 5 opens on May 26, 2017.
