My review of I Am Not Your Negro, for The Tulsa Voice.

This Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary takes the writings and speeches of James Baldwin, a Civil Rights era intellectual and speaker, sets them against a deep archive of 20th Century imagery, and forms a relevant contemplation on the racial divide of today. It’s a “personal screed filled with passion, lament, prophecy, and doubt.”
