Bonjour! Bonjour! Bonjour bonjour bonjour! As good as all of the trailers have been for the live action Beauty and the Beast, this first full clip – which covers the opening minute of the song “Belle” – shows as much promise for this adaptation as anything we’ve seen yet. Director Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) has a keen instinct for staging a musical while also making it cinematic. We’ll see the other 128 minutes soon enough when Beauty and the Beast opens on March 17, 2017.
