On set in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, but not yet in costume, here’s our first look at the (mostly) assembled cast of the as-yet-to-be-titled Young Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Movie.
Pictured with co-diretors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, this is who they are left-to-right: co-director Christopher Miller, Woody Harrelson (as Solo’s mentor), Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Alden Ehrenreich (as Han Solo), Emilia Clarke, co-director Phil Lord, and Donald Glover (playing Lando Calrissian). Oh, and Chewie. Of course Chewie. But no Thandie Newton, yet.
Principal photography officially began February 20th at Pinewood Studios, London. Written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan, the crew also boasts current Academy Award nominated D.P. Bradford Young; he’s up for Best Cinematography for his stunning work in Arrival.
The Young Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Movie opens next summer on Memorial Day weekend, May 25, 2018.
