At long last, M. Night Shyamalan may be finally back to his early career peak.

Trailers can be deceptive, but if this second look at Split is any indication, it’ll rank right up there with Shyamalan’s best: The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs.

Like the first trailer, this one is very unsettling given the predatory nature of the villain. But man, it sure looks like one heckuva performance by James McAvoy (of the X-Men franchise), one that’s actually legit rather than some simplified melodramatic spin on a psycho.
