First Track From Psychedelic DOCTOR STRANGE Score, New Ad, & Pics (AUDIO/VIDEO/IMAGES)

Toke up, Marvel fans, because composer Michael Giacchino is tripping the light fantastic.

In the first music track released from the score to Marvel’s upcoming new movie Doctor Strange, Giacchino channels 1970s era psychedelic rock. It’s a stark departure from the scores he’s become famous for, ranging from Pixar movies like Up and The Incredibles to J.J. Abrams adventures like the Star Trek franchise or TV’s Lost and Alias.

In addition to the first taste of what the music suggests the film’s tone could feel like, Marvel Studios has released a new TV ad with new clips, as well as new images (in the gallery below).

Doctor Strange looms on the horizon, set to open on November 4, 2016.
