The Young Messiah, the new film about Jesus at the age of 7 (based on Anne Rice’s novel “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt”), opens in theaters on Friday March 11, 2016. Recently, I was able to have a lengthy conversation with its writer/director Cyrus Nowrasteh, for Crosswalk.com, in which he shared how he – as both a Christian and filmmaker – sympathizes with Christian moviegoers who’ve become wary of Hollywood’s recent big screen Bible adaptations.
