Pixar Outdoes Itself: ‘Good Dinosaur’ Outpacing Megahit ‘Inside Out’ (Variety)

Industry pundits have been largely skeptical about the box office prospects for Pixar‘s The Good Dinosaur, which opens Thanksgiving weekend. Along with a troubled production history, many have questioned the timing of its release coming so soon after such a gigantic hit like Inside Out. The thinking is that Good Dino would be better served, financially speaking (and by Pixar standards especially), to have a little more space from the previous blockbuster, allowing it to have a box office life of its own.
